Notes
- The discontinued Graupner DS 8900G is a high-quality, standard-sized digital servo, likely designed with special considerations for use with Gasoline or Glow-powered models, as indicated by the "G" suffix. This means it is built to be exceptionally resistant to the high-frequency vibrations produced by internal combustion engines, likely featuring potted electronics and a very robust gear train. It is a fantastic, highly reliable choice for a variety of control functions on large gas-powered aircraft and vehicles, where long-term durability in a harsh environment is key.
- The core identity of the DS 8900G is its rugged, vibration-proof reliability. It provides the precision and holding power of a digital servo, with the added assurance that it is specifically engineered to survive the unique challenges of a gas-powered model. For the serious giant-scale pilot or 1/5 scale driver, this servo is a very smart investment in the long-term, trouble-free operation of their machine.
- In robotics, the Graupner DS 8900G's enhanced vibration resistance is a significant advantage. It is an ideal choice for any robotic application that is mounted on a mobile platform that traverses rough terrain, or for any mechanism that is subjected to high levels of mechanical shock and vibration. It is a servo that is built to maintain its precision and reliability even when the operating conditions are far from ideal.

Rating:
Application(s): Tail on 500 Protos and Trex 700E
Comments: I give these a 5 on the basis that as long as you compare with any other 5-6volt servo (apples with apples) you will find it hard to get a better servo. It's Fast .05 on 5 or 6v and It's one of the smoooothest servo's I have ever Had and I've had a few? Hundred!.I still consider it to be a BenchMark product for comparing any other Tail servo for Heli's and It's been so so reliable on FBL and Fast Gyros alike.I love to do ultra rapid Piro's with Big Bang Stops and even though It's got plastic Gear Set they seem to be Unbreakable although I treat my Helis very good and always make sure theres no slop in the Tail. For the money theyr a great deal!.
