Application(s): v tail glider
Comments: makes terrible grinding noise when moving, will vibrate i.e. movement is not continuous but in small steps, the whole glider tail vibrates.
I bought 9 of them. Disaster!

Application(s): ParaGlider, Robotics
Comments: The quality control isn't perfect. It varies between very good to average. So far I have six of these servos and all function, it is just a question of how well they function. I have one that is very noisy but works and seems to be getting better with use, as if there were gear teeth not quite meshing but are wearing in over a beak-in period.
These servos aren't the fastest around and the speed they move on command varies from one unit to another by several microseconds. The zero and mid positions are repeatable. So if you require a fast response servo this isn't the one for you, but considering their size and torque they aren't bad.
The almost all aluminum machined metal case isn't exactly all metal. The rear cover plate is plastic. The machining of the case is well done, is rugged and heavy. I haven't tested these to see if it's hermetically sealed, water proof or just water resistant, but from looking at the construction, I'd say it is at least water resistant that will stand up to those cool damp or moist days or if you live in a very high humidity area. So if you put them in a boat, or expose them to weather, I would add a little more protection against the direct elements.
The one big thing in the favour of this servo, is the price. For a USD-$20+ servo, in this size category, you would be very hard pressed to beat it at twice the price.
