Notes
- The discontinued Blue Bird BMS-631MG takes the blistering, coreless-motor speed of the BMS-631 and combines it with the rugged durability of an all-metal gear (MG) train. This creates a servo that is the best of both worlds: incredibly fast and incredibly tough. It is designed for the most extreme and abusive high-speed applications in the RC hobby. A prime example would be the steering servo on a 1/8 scale race buggy or truggy used on a high-grip, high-speed track. In this environment, the servo needs the speed to make rapid directional changes, but also the strength to withstand the constant jarring from jumps and the high loads of cornering. It is also a fantastic choice for the cyclic on a 3D helicopter if a pilot prefers an analog feel but needs extreme speed and durability.
- The identity of the BMS-631MG is forged in the crucible of speed and strength. It is a servo that refuses to compromise. It delivers the immediate, smooth response of a coreless motor, but has the metal-geared backbone to survive in the harshest environments. This gives pilots and drivers the confidence to push their vehicles to the absolute limit, knowing that their steering or control servo is not a weak link. It is a servo that is built to perform at the highest level and to last.
- For roboticists, the BMS-631MG is a powerful tool for building robots that are both fast and robust. It is an ideal actuator for the drivetrain or weapon system of a competitive combat robot. It would also be an excellent choice for a high-speed industrial automation system that is subjected to a high-impact environment. Any robotics project that needs to move quickly and survive potential collisions or high-stress events would be well-served by the potent combination of features found in the BMS-631MG.

Rating:
Application(s): industrial delta robot for educational purposes
Comments: Used with PC application in C# controlling the servo by an SD20 servo controller and i2c/USB from Robot Electronics UK
- Powerful low priced servo.
- The accuracy could be better for this application. Very small steps are not executed but delayed to a larger step.
- High surge current of 3 Amps and up.
- A bit noisy unsubtle movement

Comments: These are brilliant servos with fantastic speeds and tourqe for the money. I have been using them for a few years.
The only downside i have found is the plastic mounting lugs can crack if you over tighten the servo mount screw but this is rare.
