Notes
- The discontinued Blue Bird BMS-631 is a high-performance standard-sized servo that stands out due to its exceptionally fast transit speed, achieved through the use of a high-quality coreless motor and dual ball bearings. This servo prioritizes velocity and precision above all else, making it a specialized tool for competitive applications. It is the premier choice for tail rotor control on large 600/700 class helicopters, where its incredible speed allows the gyro to make near-instantaneous corrections, resulting in a perfectly locked-in tail, even during the most violent 3D maneuvers. It is also an excellent choice for the rudder on a large 3D or pattern aircraft to achieve breathtakingly fast yaw rates and pinpoint-accurate stall turns.
- The essence of the BMS-631 is its refined, blistering speed. The coreless motor provides an immediate response with no hesitation, while the dual ball bearings ensure that this speed is delivered with slop-free precision. This gives pilots a feeling of being perfectly synchronized with their machine, allowing them to fly with a level of accuracy and aggression that is not possible with slower servos. It is a competition-grade component designed to provide a tangible performance edge when fractions of a second and perfect control matter.
- In the field of robotics, the BMS-631’s specialized performance can be harnessed for tasks that demand extreme speed and precision. It would be an outstanding choice for a vision-guided robotic arm in a high-speed picking or sorting application. It could also be used in scientific research for creating high-frequency oscillations or for actuating control surfaces on a high-speed experimental vehicle. It’s the actuator to choose when a robotic project's main limitation is the speed and responsiveness of its moving parts.

Rating:
Application(s): Tamiya Lunchbox and DT01
Comments: Its a budget servo that performs like a beast.
Replaced an aging servo in my dt01 with one of these and was super impressed.
Its that impressive that I got another one for my lunchbox. Replacing a Savox 0251mg. Its been taking a huge beating and not one glitch. Super fast and accurate.
Can highly recommend. Will buy more for future projects.

Rating:
Application(s): I use the servos in 60 size (5-7 pound, 600-850 sq inch) sport and aerobatic models.
Comments: They mount where the previously held Hitec HS425BB was without modification.
The street price is $12.95 at a popular internet supply site.
I feel entirely confident using these after 3-4 hours of bench and flight time.
I give this a 5 star rating not because of pure quality (they're very good), but because the performance for the cost is superb (value).
