Application(s): genuine part of ford bronco TRX-4

Comments: just died after a year of usage, version 2065A, all plastic
Traxxas also provides 2065R as a replacement part, all metal, for almost twice the price :(

Application(s): Stock steering servo in TRX-4M

Comments: Stripped the gears after the first run. Tried to get the plastic gear kit from Traxxas as it stripped under normal conditions, but that was not possible. Bought the metal gears, and noticed that stock build has one metal gear and four plastic ones. Traxxas confirmed that that's how they make them, still waiting for an explanation as to why they make them so.

Comments: On third servo now, all had gears sripped, not up to job, not cheap either.

Comments: I've always had bad experiences with the traxxas stock servos. This one wasn't working so I opened up the servo and found plastic gear teeth all over. I had a servo on an E-Revo 1/16 VXL that got shredded so I went with a metal geared servo and haven't had any problems. Personally, the metal geared servos are worth the extra $10 in the long run.

Comments: i have gone though so many of these servo's i could probably buy another new rc.. Nice work TraxxASS

this servo is a joke.. useless and a waste of time.. will constantly break.. don't even bother with it.. find one with steel gears.

    Application(s): TRX-4 Differential Locks.

Comments: FIRST OFF: REPLACE THESE WITH MG90S. Night and day. I bought 10 MG90S of Amazon for the price of a single one of these

These don't have power to do their job, I feel like, with the servo savers that come stock, these reach torque limit before they hit stop position; so they are constantly holding on motor torque, not saver spring.

My first failure (at less than 24H of runtime; only one so far, but I have 2 left on machine) the gears stopped making contact inside. Everything was fine, including the gears, but the support shafts had developed just enough play to let the gears slip by each other.

MG90S is perfect replacement for my truck.

All I had to do was remove the bottom of the servo, to get the wires into the mountains, and INSTALL THE MOUNT BEFORE SCREWING IN THE SERVO. Mg90s are a bit taller, so I needlessly removed plastic underneath the servo mount (which did not help at all)

Application(s): Traxxas Summit Front and rear diff lock and shifting servo.

Comments: Bought a second hand summit. Two 2065 servos had stripped gears. I replaced the gears which you can buy. Stripped one servo on the first battery pack and burned the other one. Two weeks later the third servo burnt out for no reason. I replaced them with Bluebird servo's which fit the truck. Metal gears and they seem to hold up fine for a fraction of the costs. BMS-373MG is the one i installed. Just not waterproof.

Application(s): Steering servo on a 1:18 Traxxas RC car

Comments: I can not rate this servo low enough. The kids got these cars for Christmas and ALL of them stripped in the first few months. The gears in these servos are like butter. Don't waste your time.

Application(s): Reverse servo for traxxas revo

Comments: I wish i could give this servo a negative number. After 6 years my 2060 reverse servo went bad. I replaced it with the 2065 which stripped the gears on the second cycle. My local hobby shop replaced it under warranty. The second 2065 cycled the transmission on my work bench 3 times then it shorted out internally getting very warm now hobby shop wont replace. I am currently looking for a better quality unit.

    Application(s): Summit

Comments: Check Twitter. I've made posts on my experience with this servo and with servo 2075. Dealer was Hobby Alley on 170 street Edmonton Alberta Canada. Bought a Summit 1 week ago. Had to replace 2 2075 servos and now 2 2065 servos. I've spent over $3000.00 Canadian on many traxxas. So far the Summit has been a huge money pit. Should be called the PLUMMET instead of SUMMIT.

    Application(s): Stock Summit

Comments: Four failed servos. 3 on only 7 battery runs and one brand new. Wish there was a more reliable upgrade as down time and disassembly/ reassembly is a major pain in the keister. Bad dog on Traxxas cause I have invested over 2k dollars in their so called superior stuff. Ps. their lifetime warranties still cost you at least 50% or even more of original cost. Considering they pay only 20% of retail to manufacture, they still make bank of 30% margin. No a bad racket for shiesters.

    Application(s): Robot

Comments: Hooked it up to the Texas Instruments MSP430. Runs perfect. Has tested it continuously for weeks.
    Here is the setup
Timing: One pulse every 50ms. 0 degrees is 544us pulse , and 180 degrees is 2400us pulse.
    Hints to avoid problesm:
    - Keep power supply for servo away from processor. Servo is noisy
    - Drive servo with a 4.7kohm resistor and ground the processor output with a 10nF capacitor as a filter.

Application(s): We will be using this motor for our high school engineering assignment, but we cannot find any datasheets to help us out. Therefore, we have many questions about how it works. For instance, when we sent the motor to 30, it would move to a specific angle and then back to 0. We believe a datasheet would help us solve this problem.

Comments: From what we know, this servo motor is fairly accurate, however, we cannot find any document that will show us how to use it (datasheet). Therefore, since some angles would fluctuate while others stayed the same, we are clueless. Please help straighten this out.

Application(s): Used as the stock servo in a Traxxas Revo 3.3 (#5309) to shift the transmission between forward and reverse.

Comments: I assembled my own stock Revo 3.3 (#5309) from brand new stock parts I acquired over eBay. During assembly, while tightening the servo horn screw onto the 2065, I apparently wasn't careful enough, because what looked like tiny broken teeth had fallen onto the table.

Somehow, this new (now stripped?) servo still functioned enough to shift the transmission between forward and reverse. I broke-in the new TRX 3.3 engine as required (no shifting into reverse at all during break-in). Afterwards, I drove perhaps only three tanks of fuel through my Revo(utilizing reverse), before taking it to the track. At the track, my truck would not shift between forward and reverse at all. The 2065 servo had completely failed.

18 days later, I replaced the failed 2065 servo, with a brand new 2065 servo. This time, I was extra careful, so I wouldn't strip the teeth on the new servo. After I got the transmission shifting smoothly on the bench, I packed up, and later that day, I was back at the track. Before starting my Revo, I switched on the transmitter, and then the truck's electronics. Steering and throttle tested normally, but the transmission would not shift!

I immediately paused to test the new 2065 servo.

Ultimately, it was deemed to be completely failed as well, and I hadn't even started the truck yet!
