There are very few reviews for this servo on the web, and almost all feedback comes from owners of the Arduino Braccio robot arm, which uses it for the gripper and wrist rotation. One owner reports that an SR311 stopped working in one of their arms and says a trustworthy replacement is hard to find. Another could get only about 170 degrees of the advertised 180 degrees of wrist rotation and asked whether the servo or the software was responsible; the replies did not settle it. A third owner swapped motor positions to give the gripper a wider range of motion. The cause of these problems is unclear and may not be the servo.
