Owners are few but mostly positive. One crawler owner says it is smoother, quieter and more responsive than other brands he has tried, and was impressed with the brand despite the price. A Tamiya builder reports it works well with the kit's steering horn. One owner reports steering that goes weak and sluggish whenever forward throttle is applied, then recovers after a few seconds, a problem still unresolved in the thread. Non-owner commenters call the Reefs line pricey for its specs and this model slow.
