February 18, 2010Application(s): Discus Launch Gliders flaperon (Aileron/Flap) servo.
Comments: This is a fairly high stress application due to the large, full span flaperon and high speed launch. Also, high level precision is required for accurate wing camber adjustments.
In my opinion, this is the currently the best servo available for DLG wings because of it's good centre holding power, precision and gear robustness, combined with being only 9mm thick.
The dual ball bearing support for the output shaft helps reduce play and increase accuracy.The only negative I can think of is that the case is VERY thin. You have to make sure that when you install it, you do not squeeze the case as the gears will bind against the inside of the case.
I would rate 4.75 actually.
