Manufacturer Notice: "The reason why this servo is recommended for 4.8V batteries, is that batteries will charge above their stated voltage level. A 6V 5-cell battery pack will charge above the 6V level. A voltage level of higher than 6V may damage internal circuitry. This is why we do not recommend 5-cell battery packs. If you use a 6V regulator to power this servo, the servo will operate normally without circuit damage."
