Owners mostly describe it as a quiet, smooth and strong upgrade over stock steering servos in crawlers, 1/8 bashers and high-speed cars, and many call it excellent value, saying it outperforms servos that cost far more. Praise centers on near-silent gear noise, fast and powerful steering with large tires, thick lead wires, steady centering and cool running. Several owners run it on a 7.4V supply, and one tester found it produced more power at 7.4V than at 8.4V. A sound test ranked it the quietest servo of those tried, although some listeners hear a faint high-pitched whine. Complaints include actual speed being roughly half of the rated figure, travel well short of 180 degrees and uneven left to right, and a servo arm described as unusable. A minority report early failures: units that lasted only two runs, shaking at neutral and then turning on their own, steering that stopped after the first run, a pair that failed on the bench in an aircraft, and one that drew enough current on an airboat to heat the wires. One tester called it overpriced for its output compared with cheaper options. Satisfied owners clearly outnumber unhappy ones.
