February 10, 2012Application(s): cyclic on a Trex 250 clone. Also, used on a small Pitts bi-plane.
Comments: On the positive side, the ES08D has a very smooth movement and fine-detail to the control. Much more precise than the HXT-900, for example. Really, the servos do work quite well for a while.
On the negative, the potentiometer and/or its circuitry is poor. The servo chatters and buzzes very easily, resulting in heavy wear to the pot and gears. Thus, the negative is that they fail rather quickly.
