Notes
- The Corona DS-929MG is a legendary servo in the RC community, widely celebrated for being one of the first servos to offer the "holy trinity" of desirable features—a precise Digital controller, rugged Metal Gears, and an incredibly low price—in a compact sub-micro package. This servo is arguably one of the most popular and versatile upgrade servos ever made. It is the quintessential, do-it-all workhorse for a massive range of applications, including the cyclic controls on 450-class helicopters, the flight controls on virtually any park flyer, and the steering systems on 1/18 and 1/16 scale cars. Its ability to deliver a high level of performance and durability at an unprecedented value has made it a staple in the hobby.
- The identity of the DS-929MG is its unbeatable, all-around capability. The digital controller provides the crisp response and strong holding power needed for precision flying and driving. The metal gear train provides the toughness to withstand the abuse of 3D helicopter flight, off-road tumbles, and rough landings. It is a servo that allows hobbyists on a budget to equip their models with a level of performance and reliability that was previously out of reach. It has become the de facto standard for a powerful, durable, and affordable sub-micro servo.
- For the robotics community, the DS-929MG is a dream component. Its low cost, high torque, and durability make it the perfect actuator for projects that require a large number of strong servos, such as building a full-sized hexapod or a multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arm. Its robust nature makes it ideal for student competition robots that are expected to endure a great deal of punishment. It is, without a doubt, one of the most valuable and versatile servos for any robotics builder's toolkit.

Rating:
Application(s): 1/16 and 1/18 rc cars
Comments: Bought about 20 of these so far and haven't had one fail yet.
Good torque, centering and very reliable. Not as much power or precision as more expensive servos, but comes close. All metal gears seem strong as I've never stripped one. A great servo for a great price.

Rating:
Application(s): RC heli 450 PRO
Comments: I have flied some 1000 flights with this servo on swash
on 450 PRO's. I like them, but they have a weak spot -
the "fasteners" on the case. They break easy on impact.
They can be strengthened somewhat by filling CA in the
"holes" under the wings, but they should really be redesigned
to not break so easy.
Still, very good for the price.

Comments: More than 300 flights And works perfectly
No one is better for the price.

Application(s): For 450 FBL cyclic
Comments: I use this servo on my 450 fbl , no problem . and now have 77 flight already .

Rating:
Application(s): Cyclic on 450 Pro heli
Comments: Being so cheap, I had to give these a try.
On the positive side, the speed on the servo tester pretty much matches the claimed 0.11s @ 6v - but all of my 929's had a horrible amount of gear slop.
In flight, they seem to work ok, but the heli just feels a bit loose. They worked better than Henge 922's, but not so well as Henge 933's, which in turn were not as good as Align DS410's.
I give them a three star rating only because they are so cheap.

Application(s): elev. rud and pitch on 400 walkera elestric 400do2
Comments: The plastic is cheep and broke on all three servos were they connect to the helicopter in +76 degree tempitures, and they were even mounted in rubber. Very fragel weak plastic, I havent seen plastic like that sence the 50's.

Rating:
Application(s): Cyclic on 450 size helicopter
Comments: Well it seems a good deal at start but after more than 100 takeoff, I can say these servos have many problems. 1st they can't center well and 2nd the gears have some play. I will never buy these servos again because even if they are not expensive, they are almost unusable on an helicopter.
