Notes
- The discontinued Ace RC S1903MG takes the proven performance and reliability of the popular S1903 sport servo and enhances it with the added durability of a metal gear train. The 'MG' designation signifies 'Metal Gear,' and this upgrade makes the S1903MG a significantly more robust and resilient servo, capable of handling the increased stress and shock loads of more demanding applications. This makes it an ideal choice for the steering in 1/10 scale monster trucks and buggies, where the tires and suspension can transmit significant impacts to the servo. It is also an excellent option for the control surfaces of larger sport aircraft and gliders, where the higher air loads demand a more durable gear set. For the hobbyist who has experienced the frustration of stripping a plastic gear servo, the S1903MG offers a welcome dose of peace of mind.
- While sharing the same dual ball bearing-supported output shaft and reliable motor as its plastic-geared sibling, the S1903MG's metal gears provide a more direct and positive feel, with less flex and slop in the geartrain. This translates to a more precise and connected feel for the user, enhancing the overall driving or flying experience. The S1903MG is a true 'fit and forget' upgrade for many RTR vehicles and ARF aircraft, offering a significant boost in durability for a modest increase in cost. For robotics applications that involve higher loads or the potential for impacts, the metal gears of the S1903MG make it a much more suitable choice than a standard plastic gear servo. The Ace RC S1903MG is the logical choice for any application where the added durability of metal gears is a desirable or necessary feature, providing a welcome increase in toughness without sacrificing the smooth and reliable performance that the S1903 series is known for.
- Ace RC S1903 is the same servo, but with plastic gears.

Rating:
Application(s): Steering servo in 1/10 RC car
Comments: For what it offers the servo is good.
However it is slow for a 1/10 scale RC car. There is a play in the steering servo.
I have no problems with it after using it for a year.
